Announcement: HavServe Haiti Director, Remy Mesilus

HavServe Volunteer Services Network (HavServe) is pleased to announce that Mr. Remy Mesilus has joined the volunteer-based not-for-profit organization as Haiti Country Director, effective immediately. As Haiti Country Director of the 501(c)3 non-profit, Remy will supervise and manage all HavServe’s active projects and programs in Haiti with the help of local leaders and volunteers. The name HavServe stems from the understanding that “if you Have, then you Serve.”

Now in its fifth year of volunteering activities in Haiti, the HavServe leadership team is actively working on bringing together Haitian professionals in the Diaspora like Remy Mesilus, industry experts, youth leaders, and public and non-profit sector workers in our quest to “shape Haiti’s future, one child at a time.”

Haitian-American Remy Mesilus is a gifted and caring social entrepreneur who has devoted his life to serving the Haitian immigrant community in its effort to adjust and integrate into American society. Born in Haiti, Mr. Mesilus is the founder and president of All Cultures Table, a non-profit organization that serves as liaison between the immigrant population of Stamford, Connecticut, and other Haitian immigrant communities. Mr. Mesilus spent 15 years managing a major Fortune 100 corporation in the U.S. He also provides translation and cultural competency services to businesses and educational organizations in the U.S. and abroad.

Mr. Mesilus holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Human Resources Development from the University of Bridgeport, CT. He also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and is fluent in Creole, French, English and Spanish. Mr. Mesilus is committed to making a meaningful contribution to the development of Haiti by bringing people together – a collaborative strategy designed to maximize the non-profit sector’s impact on living conditions in rural Haitian communities. Mr. Mesilus places great emphasis on the goal of reaching out to individual leaders in their communities while maintaining community cohesion and teamwork to shape Haiti’s future, one child at a time.
