Introduction

Welcome to the website of HavServe Children and Family Services (“HavServe,” “we,” or “us”), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in the State of Florida. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of our website and to donations, sponsorships, and applications made through it. By using this website, you agree to these Terms. Please also review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your information.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated. Your continued use of the website after an update means that you accept the revised Terms.

Donations

Donations to HavServe support our mission and programs in Central Florida and Southern Haiti. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. HavServe’s EIN is 27-2525894.

Online donations are processed securely by our donation platform provider. HavServe does not store full credit card or bank account information on our website.

Donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, please contact us at info@havserve.org within 30 days, and we will review your request.

Donations designated for a specific program or campaign are used for that purpose. If a program’s needs are fully met, or if the program changes or ends, HavServe may direct the gift to a similar purpose that best serves our mission.

Next Generation Sponsorship

Next Generation Sponsorship supports students at the HavServe International Academy and Learning Center in Southern Haiti. Each sponsorship is linked to one child, while sponsorship gifts are pooled to support all students and the Academy’s programs.

Sponsors receive their sponsored child’s photograph and profile, letters or drawings, and progress reports. To protect the children we serve, sponsors agree to:

• Use their sponsored child’s information only for the sponsorship relationship and not share photographs or personal details publicly, including on social media
• Communicate with their sponsored child only through HavServe
• Not send gifts or money directly, or visit their sponsored child, without first coordinating with HavServe

Sponsors may change or cancel their sponsorship at any time by contacting us. Sponsorships are subject to HavServe’s Child Safeguarding practices.

Volunteers, Mentors, and Interns

Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance, and HavServe may decline an application at its discretion. Volunteers, mentors, and interns who work with students may be required to provide references and complete a background check, orientation, and any other screening required by HavServe. All participants must follow HavServe’s Code of Conduct and Policy on Non-Discrimination. HavServe may end a person’s participation if these standards are not met.

All content on this website, including text, photographs, logos, and designs, belongs to HavServe or is used with permission and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our written permission. Photographs of students and families are used with consent and may not be downloaded, shared, or reused.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use this website to harm HavServe or others, submit false information, or attempt to access areas of the website or its systems without permission.

Links to Other Websites

Our website includes links to other services, such as our donation platform, social media, and our Candid profile. We are not responsible for the content or practices of other websites.

Disclaimer

We work to keep the information on our website accurate and current, but it is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Program details, events, and other information may change without notice.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HavServe and its board members, staff, and volunteers are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of this website.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
